On Friday three members of the Business School (along with some helpers!) raked up the freshly cut grass and tidied up the cemetery.
The Business School, our biggest source of volunteers, has created a link with Friends of Stockton Road Cemetery over the last few years. They have team challenges every few months and they helped create a logo and website at their Development Day in June.
This challenge saw two academics take part; there's been a rise in interest from academics at the Business School with quite a few signed up to volunteering days over the next few months - fingers crossed other departments go the same way!
Within no time at all, the morning was over and the raking was complete. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at the cemetery and loved seeing the difference they made.
