On Friday a joint team of 8 from the Research Office and Computing and Information Services helped out at Stockton Road Cemetery for the day.
We had perfect volunteering weather: warm but overcast.
Two staff members planted foxgloves in various locations of the cemetery whilst the rest started the big job of raking up all the cut grass.
A lot of the team didn't realise just how strenuous raking could be! However, everyone carried on and within a few hours, all the grass (which was probably at least half the cemetery) was raked up and added to the giant pile.
The team loved their day and were already talking about their next volunteering day in April!
