Anthropology get Crafty for Willow Burn Hospice

Anthropology got into the Christmas spirit and helped make snowman soup for Willow Burn Hospice which are to be sold at their upcoming Christmas events.

Willow Burn Hospice, situated in Lanchester, treasures the lives of people whose illnesses are no longer curable, enabling them to achieve the best quality of life. The Hospice is well known locally for its commitment to service quality, compassion for the people that it serves and integrity to the community and to the staff and volunteers.

Five volunteers stepped away from their desks on the Friday morning to get crafty and to help the Hospice out. Christmas songs and santa hats on, the group started their production line.

Just like the Careers department before them, they proved to be very efficient. In under two hours, they made 186 snowman soups and ran out of hot chocolate!

The crafts were dropped of on Friday evening ready for the children's Christmas party and Light Up a Life Service at the weekend. Any leftovers are to be sold at Willow Burn's next event: Christmas By Candle Light.
