The other Team Challenge last Friday saw the Admissions Office help out at Durham Foodbank.
The Foodbank had to make a last minute location change from their Chester-Le-Street warehouse to their head office in Durham City as they couldn't store and sort all of the donations at the warehouse.
In the morning session, the team managed to sort and pack well over 100 bags! Staff Volunteering made an appearance as well dropping off the food drive donations from that week. Staff and students from across the University donated over 110kg of food - an amazing effort!
Foodbanks are always grateful for volunteers especially at peak periods. This term we've had quite a few departments volunteer and they're great for over the winter months when the weather isn't quite so pleasant. Hopefully we'll have lots more foodbank volunteering in 2017!
