On Wednesday a team from the Finance department helped paint a further section of the corridor in the centre, having previously painted another part. The department regularly volunteers at Carers Trust Tyne & Wear and love seeing their previous work and the changes to the centre.
The group got stuck in straight away painting and taping up the borders - the only issue was the lack of tape... Clearly very skilled painters, the team hardly went outside the lines!
Two layers of grey paint on the walls and gloss on the windows were applied before lunch. Letting that dry, the team ventured up to Kite Rising house to check out the garden as they worked on it previously.
Another layer on the walls and the noticeboard frames painted, the group finished in no time at all! They've already said that they can't wait to return - I'd call that a successful day!
