Fancy volunteering with us?

At Staff Volunteering and Outreach we offer all Durham University staff the opportunity to volunteer within the community up to five working days a year, subject to line manager approval (pro-rata for part time members of staff).

We work with a range of community partners: animal based, children based, environmental, skills based and hospices to name just a few areas. So there’s definitely something for everyone.

We offer different ways of volunteering: we hold Team Challenges which are one-off days, either a full or half day. It can be a departmental team or an Open Challenge which is where volunteers from across the university come together for the day. You can also take up individual volunteering and these opportunities range enormously.

If you are interested in setting up a Team Challenge for your department please get in touch with us.

If you would like to see our latest individual volunteering opportunities then take a look at our vacancies page on our website or drop us an email community.engagement@durham.ac.uk

Our latest newsletter was sent out last week with loads of great summer volunteering day. If you would like to be part of our mailing list to stay up to day then register your interest and we'll add you to the list!
